Double Coupons? Oh Heck yes!

It's that time AGAIN!  Super Double Coupon Time!  It kind of sneaks up on you when you least expect it.  I wasn't nearly as prepared for this trip as I usually am but I managed to do pretty well.  Here's a picture of the best deals of today.

I got a lot of other stuff without coupons that we needed for this weeks meal plans but I didn't include a photo of all that.  My fresh meat and produce today is probably not that interesting.  :)

Also, as a side note, yes I realize I bought 7 boxes of cereal.  I started hysterically laughing in the middle of Harris Teeter because I could already see Matt's impending reaction when he realizes what I got on this trip.  The eye rolling and then him making fun of me for stock piling cereal like a dooms day prepper would definitely be in full force once he found out.

I thought it was so funny I took a picture in the middle of the grocery store of my cart.  So it was at this point that I knew I looked like a cereal addict with mental problems as I was hysterically laughing all by myself in the middle of aisle 5 and snapping iPhone photos of my cart for no apparent reason.  Trust me when I tell you the rest of the shoppers were not amused.  They probably thought about running me over with their carts.  I wouldn't blame them either.  Blocking the shelves with my taking photos and laughing all by myself is not amusing if you are a shopper in a hurry ha ha.  Too bad there was no one there to laugh with me.

Ok so now on to the details.  If you aren't a super double couponer please feel free to skip over this section.

Not too bad considering all the other food items I bought including fresh veggies and meat for meal planning this week along with the items mentioned above.

Sidenote: while we are on the topic of coupons, I have not been using my Ibotta app like I was in the past but I need to get back in to that.  The only thing though is that some of the items in my queue right now I would never buy so I have to wait until deals that are more applicable to me are available to participate as much as I would like to.

Have you tried the Ibotta app yet?  What do you think about it?

Have you gone Super Double Coupon shopping yet at Harris Teeter?  It ends tomorrow I believe so you better hurry up!

Until next time...

Guess Who's Back? Back Again...

Shady's Back.  Tell a friend.

No just kidding, I'm clearly no Slim Shady.  But I'm back, finally after a few week blogging hiatus.  Miss me did you?

I don't want to bore you with every little specific detail of the last few weeks but let's just say it involved packing, unpacking, donating unwanted items, going through boxes of stuff asking myself, "why the heck did I even buy this in the first place!?!" and signing loads of paperwork to solidify the fact that I now own real estate.  Oh and not to mention filling out five thousand change of address forms for my many accounts.

Also I must admit that the health kick we were on kind of fell to the wayside as eating out became a must.  I'm not kidding you when I tell you that it took us four days to find the pots & pans.  And the coffee pot has been located but the actual coffee to accompany the coffee pot is still MIA.   Anyway, my point here is that since I've not been eating like I should, well needless to say I've not been tracking what I've eaten nor done my weekly weigh ins for about four weeks.  I'll get back on track at some point.  I swear.  But I am kind of avoiding it.  I don't want to see the damage done that was caused by my hiatus.

I am still trying to get this house in order which is why I've not posted pictures.  I'm planning an entire post dedicated to the new house but want everything to be in its place before I blog about it.

However for those that have not seen it.  Here it is.  Disregard the sattellite dish in the middle of the front yard.  Trees block our signal so this was the only spot for it.  I'll get over this eventually but for now I'm still annoyed ha ha.

Back to my point...so this is our 1965 Brick Ranch (4 BR 2 BA) which has been recently renovated with all new tile and refinished original hard wood floors throughout.

Also, a newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms make this house a first time home buyers dream!  We are so blessed.  Sometimes I think I'm dreaming and that this isn't real and they are going to call me and say "just kidding" please vacate the premises.  That feeling will soon fade as I'm quickly approaching the date that our first mortgage payment is due.

So here are a few shots from move in day.

 Living Room
 Front door/Foyer area
 Dining Room/Kitchen
 Kitchen
 Living Room again
 the newly painted Guest Room

So that about sums out my hiatus explanation.  Stay tuned for a more detailed post about the house in the next couple of weeks.  So much to do, such little time.

Stay tuned for my next post on my Harris Teeter Super Double Coupon trip today.
